隨著失眠人口越來越多,選擇食用安眠藥物治療的狀況相當普遍,而食用安眠藥的副作用等造成的心理跟生理影響,不僅是影響個人甚至會影響到社會。目前,除了食用藥用安眠藥物來做治療外,還有補充一些助眠膳食補充劑,像GABA、色胺酸等。另外,像按摩或是呼吸運動等調解的方式也是目前普遍的助眠方式,還有更有推出有醫療器材許可字號,如紅外線波長功能,或是電療刺激療法來改善睡眠的醫療產品,這些以物理治療的方式來改善睡眠障礙。 統整了一些對於天然植物在睡眠障礙上改善的相關研究文獻,有些天然植物確實記載對於鎮靜上的功效,但在用以天然植物來說,發現因植物萃取的成分、或是使用的的劑量和治療時間,甚至使用在不同身心理狀況的睡眠障礙測試者上,都有不太相同的反應,以至於導致某些研究結果有產生爭議和矛盾。但是從古至今天然植物一向為東方國家的傳統使用秘方,雖然目前的研究都是採取溫和的方式,但也讓臨床上有一個另類選擇,更多實驗來驗證該方式是在問題發生的急性期治療效果跟搭配睡眠衛教等,會對臨床上的睡眠障礙治療更有幫助。

Although the current research adopts a mild method, it also allows an alternative clinical option. More experiments to verify that this method is the treatment effect in the acute phase of the problem, combined with sleep hygiene education, etc., will be more helpful for the clinical treatment of sleep disorders.
