從AI創作探討人機差異：以【Carole &Tuesday】為例
The Exploration of Difference Between Human and Machine: From AI Arts in “Carole & Tuesday”
摘要
人工智慧(AI)是目前最受到關注的科技，與人工智慧有關的應用已經深入進各大領域，過去認為AI無法觸及藝術，也在近年陸續取得突破。而自1950年代AI開始發展以來，許多科幻作品紛紛以此為主題進行想像，這些想像依憑於現實的科技發展，卻也深深影響了後續的科技發展方向。 本研究以科幻音樂動畫【Carole & Tuesday】為例，並以想像符擔性理論(Imagined Affordance)作為切入點，透過Labov敘事分析框架，將創作者對於AI的想像，與使用者所知覺、想像的AI進行結合討論，在了解不同時空下科幻作品所討論的人機差異的不同之處以外，更期望透過對敘事的剖析，初探AI技術更加進步之後，藝術價值可能出現的轉向與啟發。 研究結果發現，儘管AI創作在技術性上與人類創作可能並駕齊驅甚至超越人類創作，但現今人類創作中所具備的缺陷，事實上也反映出來AI無法取代的特質──「內在感受」與「傳達的意圖性」，這兩項特質不僅可能會成為未來藝術關注的方向，同時也是相較於AI人類獨有的特殊之處；在與經典科幻漫畫【原子小金剛】比對之下，【Carole & Tuesday】作為現代科幻漫畫所想像的AI，雖不同於過去作為主體被想像，但作為科技物與概念，他所呈現的複雜性仍是超越早期作品，反映出了現代科技的發展，以及創作者更加多元的想像。

Artificial intelligence (AI) is currently the most concerned technology, and applications related to artificial intelligence have penetrated into various fields. In the past, it was believed that AI could not be applied to art, and breakthroughs have been made in recent years. Since the development of AI in the 1950s, a lot of science fiction have imagined with AI. These imaginations rely on the development of science and technology, but they have also deeply affected the subsequent development of science and technology. This research takes science fiction music animation Carole & Tuesday as an example, and uses Imagined Affordance as the entry point. Through the Labov narrative analysis framework, the creator’s imagination of AI is combined with the user’s perception and imagination to understanding the differences between humans and machines discussed in sci-fi works under different time and space. Besides, through the analysis of narratives, this research would like to explore possible changes and inspirations of artistic value after AI technology is more advanced. The results of the study found that although AI creation may be equal to or even surpassing human creation technically, the shortcomings in human creation today also reflect the characteristics that AI cannot replace—"Inner Feeling" and "Communication intentionality", these two characteristics may not only become the focus of art in future, but also unique to humans. In comparison with the classic science fiction comic Astro Boy, Carole & Tuesday as modern science fiction anime is different from the previous that imagined AI as the subject, but as a technological object and concept. However, the complexity of the imagine about AI is still beyond the early works, reflecting the development of modern technology and the more diverse imagination of the creator.
