偏光膜是液晶顯示器中的重要元件,偏光膜主要的功能在將背光模組所產生的光源進行偏極化,大多數的液晶顯示器需使用偏光膜才能使影像呈現;另外偏光膜目前使用於非電子產品中的代表為偏光太陽眼鏡,主要降低強烈光線對眼睛的負擔,防止眼睛受到強光的傷害。目前普遍製作方式是用PVA薄膜先進行碘染色後再進行拉伸製得,耐溫特性差是此種偏光膜的主要缺點;在部份耐溫特性要求較高的液晶顯示器與追求薄型化的驅使之下,工業界目前有開發二色性染料替代碘進行染色製程的偏光膜與混掺二色性染料的塗佈式兩種不同形式偏光膜,其中使用塗佈式偏光膜的方式亦可製作其他種類光學膜如彩色濾光片、廣視角膜…等。本論文使用二色性染料分別應用於延伸式偏光膜,實驗中將調整四種不同二色性染料的混合比例製成偏光膜探討光學特性。
The polarizer film is an important part in liquid crystal display(LCD) witch could polarization light from backlight unit.The phantom presents must used polarizer film in most liquid crystal display.Now it is usually used polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) dyeing then stretching to make polarizer film.It resist temperature no good is major object in this kind polarizer film.Because need increase of resist temperature and thining liquid crystal display exploitation dichroic dye substituted iodine used method of dyeing or coating to make up different kinds polarizer film in industry.The way could make other optical films like color filter,wide view film ,which uses coating method make polarizer film. Used same dichroic dyes application on two kinds method were stretch and coat makes polarizer film in this paper.In this paper which different dyes to fabrication polarizer film and probe into their optical character.
