一個報表產生的視覺化表格呈現語言

摘要


視覺化程式語言已經成功應用在許多特殊的領域,透過視覺化程式的操作環境,使用者可以直接操作使用者介面並立即觀看程式執行的結果,因此減低學習程式設計的困難。過去的研究中,資料庫報表製作工具大多以精靈操作模式為基礎,最近則有研究提出使用表格運算及報表結構樹簡化報表的產生,但這些工具均無法讓使用者自訂新的運算。本論文以表格運算為基礎上提出一套新的視覺化表格呈現語言,透過視覺化表格呈現語言的幫助,報表設計者可以自由組合既有的表格運算為新的表格運算,大幅提昇報表產生系統的功能性與生產力。

Visual programming language has been successfully applied to some specific domains. Through visual programming environment, a user can operate directly on graphical user interface and get immediate feedback from the program. This reduces the difficulty in learning programming. In the past, design of report generation tools was mostly based on wizards. Recently, there are researches propose the use of table operations and report structure trees to simplify report generation. However, these tools do not allow users to define their own customized operations. This thesis proposes a visual table presentation language for report generation based on table operations. With the aid of visual table presentation language, a user can define new table operations by using existing ones. Thus both the functionality and productivity of the report generation system are enhanced.
