摘要
表格是網頁或文件中常用以傳遞比較、排列等相關資訊的資料呈現方式。由於明眼人具有任意跳躍式的視覺閱讀能力，因此，很容易可以感受到表格的便利性。但對於視障者而言，錯綜複雜的表格無疑是如團霧般的迷宮，往往令其深陷其中而不知所云；其主因為視障者只能接受線性排列的資料。 本論文使用Java Script寫出一個實作的程式，這個程式的所有操作皆有快速鍵導引，避免視障者迷航。以線性排列的呈現方式，告知視障者數項有關表格的資訊。包括行數與列數，使視障者對於所面對的表格有基本的概念。將表格內的資訊分別以列為主或是以行為主抽離；讓視障者依不同的表格內容，選擇其最能接受的線性方式閱讀表格。此外，提供比較、搜尋功能，便利視障者對表格內資料聚焦。並且提供搜尋表格內資料的功能，便利視障者快速找尋一閃而逝、片斷不全的表格內資料。 經由視障者實際操作，並量化測試操作時間後，可發現本論文的方法，能大幅節省視障者獲取表格內資訊的時間，從幾乎無法達成的表格閱讀情形，縮短到可計數的有限時間內。並大幅提昇視障者閱讀表格的意願，讓視障者更全面的瞭解表格所要傳達的資訊。

Tables are often used as a way to organize and compare information in web documents. It is easy for visual users to jump directly from one cell to another cell within a table. However, using tables to display tabular information may raise serious issues for visually impaired users if the text in the tables is not linearize properly. This thesis presents some Java Script modules that allow the visually impaired users to understand the tabular information in the web table. All procedures in the modules are associated with access keys to prevent visually impaired browsers from being confused. The proposed modules convert a two-dimensional table to a row-major or column-major ordered list and hence make a table more accessible to visually impaired users. Furthermore, the functions of comparing and searching elements within a table are provided so that visually impaired users can focus on parts of the data. The proposed modules were tested by some visually impaired users and proved to be very helpful to decrease the time and effort they required to find out the informatoin in a table. Most our visually impaired testers hardly read these tables without the modules, but with it they can easily understand the content of tables in finite time. Therefore, the proposed Java Script modules make visually impaired users more encouraged to access web tables.
