摘要

本論文的研究目的主要在全球資訊網的開放架構下，提供Web伺服器
的管理者可透過簡易的資料庫發展工具來發展資料庫精靈，以提供給使用
者自訂使用；另一方面使用者可透過系統管理者所設計的資料庫精靈，以
一問一答的方式來自訂自己的資料庫內容，並且讓使用者可以維護自己的
資料。 目前WWW上有關資料庫存取的最大問題是需要複雜的程式來處
理表單、查詢資料庫和轉換資訊成HTML的格式。因此，需要一個產生器以
最少的程式撰寫時間來建構資料庫應用程式。DAGW
(DatabaseApplication Generator for WWW,全球資訊網資料庫應用程式
產生器)是設計用來產生和維護WWW資訊系統上儲存的資訊。這就是本論文
所要提出的設計。

The research objective of this thesis is to let Web
serveradministrators use simple database development tools to
developdatabase widzards which are provided to users for
building theirdatabase. On the other hand, users can apply the
database widzardsto develop the database in the way of Question-
and-answer and maintain their data as well. The biggest
problem with database applications on WWW is thatthey require a
sophisticated program to interpret Forms, query appropriate
databases, and merge information into Hypertext. Thereis a clear
need for application-generator tools which allow
databaseapplication programs to be constructed with minimal
expertise on thepart of the designer. DAGW (Database Application
Generator for WWW)is design for generating database application
and maintaining the information on database.
