摘要

本論文旨在討論筆者翻譯《亞洲新方針》(A New Deal for Asia)一書的過程中的策略及體會。本論文共分六章。第一章說明筆者翻譯本書翻譯緣由、研究動機、論文架構等。第二章則簡介原著作者、內容、相關圖書。第三章是《亞洲新方針》全書的中譯。第四章則介紹筆者的翻譯過程、策略、專業名詞翻譯原則。第五章則介紹譯書過程中所遇困難並對翻譯的實務做一番探討。第六章總結全文，歸納本書翻譯譯文心得，以作為日後改進參考。

This thesis discusses what the author has learned from the process of translating the book and the translation techniques applied to translating the book. This thesis is divided into six chapters. Chapter I introduces the motive and the structure of this thesis. Chapter II gives a brief introduction of the author, Mahathir Mohamad, as well as an abstract of the content and the related reading materials published in Taiwan. Chapter III is the translation of A New Deal for Asia. Chapter IV discusses the translation process and the key strategies implemented in the translation. Chapter V mainly focuses on the difficulties the author faces and how this author solves the difficulties. Chapter VI is a summary of translation experience and some areas that need to be improved.
