本論文擬從甘耀明的兩本長篇小說《殺鬼》與《邦查女孩》進行比較,試圖指出甘耀明的兩本小說分別回望台灣歷史上的兩個時代,小說中主人公的成長歷程,乃是回溯台灣主體在成長過程中遭遇的不同困境與發展的可能性,實含有台灣國族寓言的色彩。 成長小說主要討論主角成長歷程中,如何由未知而啟蒙,天真而失落,進而定位自我的過程。《殺鬼》與《邦查女孩》,前者以一九四○年代作為背景,後者以一九七○年代作為背景,並分別以少年成長/少女成長作為主線,主角不同性別的設定,又同時呈現多元族群的景象。是以本論文將以成長小說的內涵作為敘述主軸,並從世代、性別、族群等三個向度切入,作為討論二書成長議題的比較基準。 本論文企圖指出,甘耀明小說中的成長書寫,事實上也帶出台灣不同世代、不同性別、不同族群之間,在成長歷程上所遭遇的難題與寓意,小說主角的遭遇亦是台灣本身經歷成長試煉後的縮影,然而台灣的成長歷程尚未結束,甘耀明重述歷史,實有借鑒歷史,並帶出台灣應該如何朝未來成長前進的期盼。
This comparative literary studies study is based on Gan Yao-Ming’s novel Ghost Slayer and The Pangcah Girl. These two novel look back into two different generations of Taiwan’s history. The growth courses of leading roles represent any difficulties, possibilities of development that may occur in the growth courses of Taiwan, which national allegory is contained in the novels. “Growth writing” mainly discusses how the leading roles enlighten themselves from unknown to lost, and defining themselves on the growth courses. The novel Ghost Slayer and The Pangcah Girl are based on 1940’s and 1970’s. The stories are told as male and female growth writing, with different genders, and both present a multi-ethnic scene. This study hold the connotation of growth writing, and discuss with generations, genders and ethnicities. This study shows that the growth writing of Gan Yao – Ming’s novels actually indicate the difficulties and the morals of growth courses. The experiences of leading roles represent what Taiwan has been through. The growth courses of Taiwan have not finished yet. The reasons that Gan Yao – Ming restated the history of Taiwan are due to learning from history and look forward to the future of Taiwan.
