拜拜的傳承: 潮汕女性的民間信仰實踐

摘要


本研究旨在厘清跨足家庭脈絡與宗教活動的潮汕女性其民間信仰的實踐模式及潮汕拜拜文化的傳承性,借此瞭解潮汕地區女性世代之間在準備祭祀祭品的變化,並爬梳潮汕女性在拜拜中的自我意識。潮汕女性在潮汕民間宗教信仰活動中佔有十分重要的地位,但是她們在這項活動卻扮演無私的“服務者”,其背後的意涵則為了所謂的“家”。透過在汕頭市澄海區的田野調查,深入自日常生活中探討女性在宗教實踐的特殊之處,透過檢視祭拜活動中祭品種類的變化,解析不同年齡層的潮汕女性對民間信仰方式的改變,辨別其在民間信仰中的實踐邏輯,進而探討潮汕地區民間信仰形式的變化。並且,透過對於祭拜儀式的簡化追蹤,反思民間宗教活動的傳承。

This research paper aims to sort out the performance patterns of the folk belief practiced by the females from Chaoshan region, which involves both family contexts and religious activities, as well as the continuity of region’s worshipping culture. Thereby, the evolution across generations of how the Chaoshan women prepare the rites and offerings can be revealed. And their self-awareness among the worshipping can be summarized.Chaoshan women have played a substantial role in the folk religious activities of Chaoshan region, acting as the selfless servicers and for the sake of their family. Through the field research carried out in the Chenghai District of Shantou City, this paper provides insight into the specialty of the role of females in regards of religion performance. By investigating the changes of varieties of the offerings during the worshipping rites, it provides possibility to analyze the evolution of folk belief patterns across different generations of Chaoshan women, to identify the performance logic of their folk belief, and furthermore to discuss in general the transformation of folk belief of Chaoshan region.In addition to that, by tracking the simplification process of the worshipping rites, this paper as well opens a door to rethink the continuity of folk religious activities.
