以影像灰階檢測電漿顯示器之邊界電壓

電漿顯示器具有大尺寸、視角廣、薄型化等優點,目前廣泛地應用在商業用途等公共場合,未來在家電產業中,電漿顯示器可望成為下一世代大畫面薄型家用電視之主流。 本研究採用機器視覺的方式,結合影像處理中的影像灰階及統計學上的標準差,提出一套量測電漿顯示器之邊界電壓的方法,針對紅、綠、藍色畫面的發光格子灰階平均值進行計算,並據以得到邊界電壓曲線圖,以便於電漿顯示器在開發階段進行評價及特性研究,增加新型面版開發的效率和檢測結果的客觀性。 實驗初步階段僅檢測面板的部分區域,檢測範圍為130×90mm2,影像大小為4256×2848像素,在近面板中央區域重複五次的實驗所得紅、綠、藍色在邊界電壓範圍內之灰階平均數值分別為117.8、103.6、98.2灰階,標準差值分別為0.649、0.843、0.697,而兩個不同區域的紅、綠、藍色的灰階平均差值分別為0.269、0.400、0.250,顯示本研究在不同檢測區域的差異性小,重複性高。此外,經實驗判斷與人工判斷所繪出的邊界電壓統計圖進行比較,其紅、綠、藍的邊界電壓值之平均差距為1.7、2.9、2.0伏特,顯示本研究可以代替人工得到準確結果。

In this study, a method of measuring PDP margin voltage has been developed using machine vision technique. This method combines the use of image gray level and the standard deviation of statistics to measure the average gray level of discharge cell in the primary RGB colors. A statistical table of the margin voltage test was obtained by means of the average gray level in the primary RGB colors and can be applied to facilitate the evaluation and the characteristics study during the R&D stage for a new type of PDP products. As the current stage is limited to CCD resolutions, the measuring range is limited to 130x90mm2 with an image resolution of 4256x2848 pixels. The measurements were repeated five times in a region near the central part of the panel. The experimental results show that the image gray level average in R, G, and B is 118.62, 103.88, and 98.42, respectively; the standard deviation in R, G, and B is 0.649, 0.843, and 0.697, respectively. Thus show that the proposed method has high measurement repetitiveness. Measurements were also executed in another region with the same field of view. The average difference in gray level in R, G, and B is 0.269, 0.400, and 0.250, respectively between the two areas, showing this proposed method has an acceptable measurement deviation between two different measurement regions. Also, the average difference of margin voltage value between experimental results and manual inspection in R, G, and B is 1.7, 2.9 and 2.0 voltages respectively, showing that the proposed technique in this research can replace human inspection to get a more stable result.
