本研究以偏鄉地區的東南亞裔新住民之子女為研究對象,主要在探究在自我認同發展上是否會受到偏鄉環境裡的學校、家庭、社區互動及偏鄉的認同而有所影響,透過對東南亞裔新住民之子女、新住民家長以及教師的訪談再輔以研究者的參與觀察綜合分析,所得偏鄉地區的東南亞裔新住民之子女在自我認同發展上具有下列結論: 一、具有高度的地方認同。 二、對母親族群文化認同度高。 三、影響自我認同發展的因素有家人的支持、教師的影響力、多元文化課程、同 儕的互動。 四、不影響自我認同發展的因素有母親的國籍、經濟狀況。 五、不全然影響自我認同發展的因素是學習表現。 希冀透過本研究對東南亞裔新住民之子女的認同發展能有更多的認識。
The aim of this study is to discuss whether the school relationship, family relationship, community interaction relationship in rural area, and local identity will influence the development of self-identity of the Southeast Asian immigrants’ children. Our objectives are the children of Southeast Asian immigrants in rural area. According to the interview of objectives, and their teachers as well as immigrants themselves that were observed and analyzed comprehensively by the researcher, we can conclude five characters of Southeast Asian immigrants’ children on development of self- identity: 1. High local identity. 2. High identity with the culture of mother. 3. The factors that significantly affect self- identity are the support from the family, the influence of teacher, multicultural courses, and interaction of classmates. 4.The factors that do not significantly affect self- identity are the nationality of mother and family financial status. 5. The factor that partially affect self- identity is student learning performance. We will expect, through this study, to understand more about the development of self- identity of Southeast Asian immigrants’ children.
