近幾年來,劇烈的地震引發的災害頻繁的發生在世界各地,許多科學家認為地球已經進入了地震的活躍期。 臺灣與日本在地理上與日本諸島相似,兩地皆處在名為環太平洋火山帶的地震活躍區域上。然而與日本相較之下,臺灣對於地震的問題並不重視,而且地震訊息的傳遞在臺灣並不完整,很多區域甚至還在發展當中。 此外,對於地震,使用者除了了解震央及震度之外,在不同的情況下可能需要不同的資訊,例如,地震的歷史數據、土壤液化、交通狀況或天氣資訊,就算是社群網路上的意見都可能有不同的用途或價值,從這個角度考慮,地震資訊應該被視為大數據。 因此,在本研究中,我們開發了台灣地震大數據三維視覺化系統。
In recent year, strong earthquake disasters occur very frequently around the world. Many scientists suggested that earth has entered the active seismic period. Taiwan is very geologically close to Japan islands. Both of these two areas are located in a seismically active zone, within so called the Pacific Ring of Fire. However, in comparison with Japanese, Taiwanese are much more indifferent with the issues of earthquakes. In Taiwan, the seismic information system is not well-integrated yet, even some parts are still under development. Moreover, in addition to the epicenter and intensity of earthquake, users may need different information for different situations. For example, the historical data of earthquakes, soil liquefaction, traffic connections, weather information, and even the opinions on social networks all have their uses and values for different purposes. Considering from this point of view, seismic information should be treated as big data. Therefore, in this project, we developed a 3D visualization system of earthquake big data in Taiwan.
