此詮釋報告中以百老匯音樂劇《變身怪醫》中的傑可與海德兩個人格/角色做分析與探討,本詮釋報告共分為六章。首章,敘述研究的目的與動機,以及研究方法與架構。第二章,音樂劇《變身怪醫》背景探究,此章分為五節,第一節,英國維多利亞時代的背景探究,第二節,簡介精神醫學在劇本設定年代前後的發展,第三節,作曲家背景探究,第四節,作曲家背景及劇本探究,第五節,由原著小說到音樂劇改編作探討。第三章為劇本分析,第一節為解離型人格障礙(雙重人格)簡介;第二節為劇本大綱與結構分析;第三節為角色介紹;第四節小結則為前三節做一個總結。第四章為亨利.傑可與艾德華.海德的角色分析,從解離型人格障礙(雙重人格)的角度切入,進而探討解離型人格障礙(雙重人格)在傑可與海德的角色上的影響及關係;再者,從文本中的線索分析出兩個人格的角色以及與其他角色之間的關係,分析與比對後讓角色更加明確的活化,配合角色形象上的塑造,最後再將兩個人格角色以四個階段做分類,總結傑可與海德在劇中的發展進程。第五章為本詮釋報告主題,選出了十四首曲目,分別對樂曲、歌詞內容及及詮釋上的潛台詞、內在情緒、外在行動…等加以分析。第六章結語,筆者在此統整前面五個章節後,為此次研究做出總結論。
