企業內口譯員的角色與工作策略

摘要


企業內口譯是口譯工作當中,較少被探討的議題,在學理上通常依附在會議口譯或商業口譯的研究框架下。然而企業內口譯因溝通的情境、對象有其獨特性,因此所衍生出來的口譯策略也有所不同,本文歸納出十位口譯員在企業內的情境下,使用摘譯、增譯、減譯、釐清、人稱轉換、參與策略、忠實翻譯的方式,由此定義出企業內口譯員所需的能力,以及所扮演的角色,最後整理出受訪者對企業內口譯員職涯發展的觀察。本研究以半結構訪談,訪問十位任職於企業內的口譯員,研究結果希望對於有志從事企業內口譯的工作者有所助益。

In-house interpreting has not yet become an independent field of academic study on its own, but rather a discussion under the framework of conference interpreting or business interpreting. In-house interpreting, however, is unique in its own communication context from which specific strategies derived. By interviewing ten in-house interpreters, this research has categorized 7 interpreting strategies used by in-house interpreters, the capabilities required to execute such strategies and the roles that in-house interpreters play in different contexts.
