In-house interpreting has not yet become an independent field of academic study on its own, but rather a discussion under the framework of conference interpreting or business interpreting. In-house interpreting, however, is unique in its own communication context from which specific strategies derived. By interviewing ten in-house interpreters, this research has categorized 7 interpreting strategies used by in-house interpreters, the capabilities required to execute such strategies and the roles that in-house interpreters play in different contexts.
