歷史建築活化為劇院經營之研究—以PLAYground南村劇場為例

摘要


本研究旨在探討歷史建築活化成為劇院經營的案例,以臺北市信義區的「PLAYground南村劇場」為研究個案,採用文獻分析、半結構式訪談、問卷調查及非參與式觀察,以大清華傳媒股份有限公司對此一非典型劇場之經營模式進行探討。 首先,以文獻分析法檢閱相關次級資料與政府機關檔案,藉此了解場域房舍從里民活動中心到決定出租委外的經過。接著,透過面對面與南村劇場經營方的訪談和參訪,探究劇場經營的議題和問題。同時,針對曾在南村劇場演出的團隊及工作人員發送線上問卷,調查其對該劇場的使用體驗和看法。最後,通過研究者多次實地觀察南村劇場,與相關資料蒐集,評估了其場地特色、演出狀況和發展定位。 研究結果發現,在信義區公所的標租政策下,南村劇場作為歷史建築活化為劇院的實際情況,顯示既有建築的再利用提供了私人機構經營中小型劇場獨特的優勢和挑戰,並提出了場地硬體設施、劇院品牌建立和行銷機制等方面的建議,以促進劇場的長期發展。 未來也可進一步研究比較不同私人機構營運歷史建築活化成劇場的經營策略和成功要素,以提供做為劇場文化藝術發展的參考依據。

This study aims to explore the case of historic buildings revitalization for theatre operations, focusing on the "PLAYground Theater" in the Xinyi District of Taipei City. The research methodology includes document analysis, semi-structured interview, questionnaire surveys, and non-participant observation, examining the atypical theatre operation model adopted by TsingHua Culture Media Corp.(TCMC). Initially, through document analysis, secondary data, and government archives were reviewed to understand the transition of the venue from a community activity center to the decision to outsource for lease. Subsequently, face-to-face interview and visits with the management of PLAYground Theater were conducted to investigate theater operation issues. Additionally, an online questionnaire was distributed to teams and staff who had performed at the PLAYground Theater to gather insights into their experiences and opinions regarding the theater. Finally, through multiple on-site visits and data collection, the researcher assessed the venue's characteristics, performance status, and developmental positioning. The research findings indicate that under the Xinyi District Office's lease policy, the PLAYground Theater's practical situation as a historic building transformed into a theatre highlights both unique advantages and challenges for private institutions operating small theaters. Recommendations were proposed concerning venue hardware facilities, theater brand establishment, and marketing mechanisms to facilitate the theater's long-term development. Future research could further explore and compare the operational strategies and key success factors of historic buildings transformation into theaters operated by different private institutions. This comparative study aims to provide valuable reference points for the development of cultural and artistic endeavors within the theater industry.
