由於行動裝置的普及以及多元化的應用程式開發,現今的行動應用並不一定需要連上網際網路,而是近距離的傳輸與分享,包括影音、通訊、文檔或照片分享都可以不需透過網際路;而分享裝置則包括手提電腦、數碼相機、媒體播放器、數位相框、電視、遊戲設備、手機等。這類的互動式應用僅限於特定範圍內,其中廣泛應用於"遊戲"是目前提供大眾娛樂重要的軟體之一,而特定範圍內的互動遊戲不一定要利用網際網路才能使用。 透過Wi-Fi聯盟在2010年發表公布 Wi-Fi Direct技術,用戶無需加入基建網路再連接至其他聯網設備,讓裝置間互相分享,並跨越連接基建網路的限制,透過直接連線而獲得互動性的娛樂效果,同時也享有Wi-Fi既有的優點如高頻寬、安全性與普遍性。 在本論文中透過使用Wi-Fi Direct技術特點進而架構出互動性遊戲具有的行為模式與群組成員互動模式,不論參與遊戲群組的裝置數量多寡或者不同性質的遊戲種類,都可以在此架構上開發不同種類的遊戲並根據彈性的架構實現遊戲中的互動性娛樂。我們並實現了一套互動橋牌遊戲以驗證所提出的架構。
In the past, the Wi-Fi devices connect to internet through Wi-Fi Access Point or Hotspot, these devices include laptops, digital camera, media player, digital picture photo frames, digital televisions, game consoles and smartphones. Nowadays network game is one of the most popular entertainment in our daily life, and all mobile devices that support Wi-Fi allow us connecting to internet much easier and more convenient. The connections are all based on Access Point, somehow you are not in the area where you can connect to internet but you just want to connect to people around you, and there is no Wi-Fi access point qvailable, in such situation you are unable to reach anyone. The technology of Wi-Fi Direct was developed by Wi-Fi Alliance and published in 2010. It supports STA connecting to STA without through an traditional Access Point. Based on this technology, devices can connect to any STA devices without Access Point. Since it is based on Wi-Fi, it benefits from Wi-Fi in security and bandwidth-demanding. This thesis is to design an architecture for interactive multimedia gaming based on Wi-Fi Direct. No matter how many devices are in the group, the devices can run interactive multimedia application. We develop the game “Contract Bridge” to demonstrate how to design the system for interactive multimedia gaming on Wi-Fi Direct.
