This research will show the managers of the electric bus manufacturers how their technology compares to others, as well as for them to analyze. It will show the technical managers how to improve their current methods of manufacturing. Government policy each company in each country is facing will be explored and cross referenced. After all, energy is the most concern among the globe now. Then, future suggestions will be given. Nowadays, the whole globe is facing the problems of energy crisis and air pollution. These problems propel us to consider the development of the future vehicle. If human further adopt internal combustion engine (ICE) technique to develop automotive industry, energy security and environmental protection will assume huge pressure. How to improve the performance of the automobile and reduce energy consumption and the amount of pollution is the important content of the automotive technique research at present. Global warming is one of the most concerned issue the world is facing, and in order to save the planet a lot of things have been put in thought. In the recent years electric cars have been the new automaker’s favorite star; however, the unpredictable reasons make the electric vehicles very hard to manage. Since city buses take the same routine in every run and have a much longer cycle life, it makes perfect sense to put in more resources into developing electric buses. In this research some of the problems that electric bus makers are facing will be pointed out, alone with comparison between global and local electric buses. Different technology used throughout the world in different countries, including China, Taiwan and some European companies will be analyzed, in order to see if there is any advantage that Taiwanese electric bus manufacturers can learn from, and things to avoid. This will create a good competition for improvement. Government policies affect the electric bus industry greatly, and it is very helpful to learn about different regulations, alone with their reasonings behind. Three methodologies will be used in the essay, including case study, in-depth interview, and secondary date analysis. Case study is used to learn more about different bus manufacturers. Quite a few management level employees will be interviewed to have a deeper knowledge about what is really happening in the industry, and secondary data analysis will be used to compare each of the options that bus operators have.
