凝膠電泳技術(Gel electrophoresis)主要目的為分離不同大小的DNA分子,是生物相關領域常見實驗,實驗結果在一般環境下肉眼無法辨識,傳統方法是先使用特殊照膠平台(UV Box)觀測,再以專用相機影像存取系統(Digital Gel Image System)保存實驗成果,但此方法有凝膠多次移動、相機影像存取系統體積龐大兩項缺點,故本論文以此為改進目標,建立一套結合掃描器與電泳槽(Gel Box)的機械整合系統,可有效縮減體積大小,在跑膠(Run)時還可同步記錄影像,並且運用影像處理技術去除圖片雜訊,帶給操作者一台觀測方便並能節省時間的便利儀器。
The primary purpose of the Gel Electrophoresis is to separate the DNA molecules of different sizes. It is a very common experiment in bio-related fields. However, to observe and record the experimental results, the users need to move the gels from the gel box to a bulky camera image retrieval system. This process may cause environmental contamination. Thus, the goal of this paper is to design a new image retrieval system that integrates the gel box and scanning system. With the proposed system, the users can do the experiments and record the image simultaneously and efficiently without exposing to the risk of contamination.
