This study aims to explore the feasibility of applying the sharing economy platforms to Taiwan's forest therapy industry. Existing research has shown that forests contribute to human health in physical, physiological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects. The "One Health" concept emphasizes the interconnectedness of environment, animal, and human health, prompting countries worldwide to collaborate across disciplines to promote policies and measures that benefit both nature and societies. In Taiwan, the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency partners with industry, government, and academia to develop the forest therapy industry. However, challenges such as the underutilization of certified forest therapists and the issue of idle forest land still require more efficient and effective solutions. This research employed methods based on grounded theory such as observational method, in-depth interviews, and focus group to collect data. Data analysis involved techniques such as triangulation, open coding, axial coding, and thematic coding. The research results identified three pillars for a sustainable forest therapy industry: environmental sustainability, social sustainability, and economic sustainability. Key resources available for sharing within the industry include professionals, forest sites, and participants. The results also showed the feasibility of applying sharing economic platforms to the industry. However, currently, there is insufficient availability of qualified forest therapy professionals and forest sites. In conclusion, priority should be given to developing platforms that support the establishment of qualified professional resources for the industry, with product matching platforms as a secondary focus, to effectively utilize sharing economy platforms to promote forest therapy industry development.
