3D動畫《Kintekuy》創作論述暨Blender黏土動畫之技術應用

摘要


影視作品所傳播的視覺效果,大大影響了社會大眾第一眼對於這部作品的關 注程度,在傳統逐格動畫中,黏土動畫因其所表現出紋理質感而獨樹一格,而現今 科技發展快速,透過 3D 電腦繪圖軟體的輔助,動畫已能夠做出寫實效果,市面上 擁有絢爛華麗的特效影片更是層出不窮,這些華麗的視覺享受早已養大觀眾的胃 口,但以英國知名的阿德曼動畫公司 (Aardman) 為例,他們現今仍堅持使用傳統 逐格拍攝的方式製作黏土動畫,代表傳統黏土動畫還是有其存在的市場價值,可是 傳統黏土動畫的製作流程過於繁複困難,若無強大的資金與人力來支持創作,一般 的獨立動畫工作室很難以此動畫風格謀生,因此,如何透過電腦軟體來創作具有黏 土質感的 3D 動畫為本研究的研究目標。 本研究成果計有:研究 3D 電腦圖形軟體 Blender 如何運用模型構造、材質球 設定、紋理貼圖、修改器設定、燈光陰影、動畫動作曲線,來創作出具有黏土質感 的 3D 角色動畫;藉研究分析的資料實際運用,創作出一部使用 3D 電腦繪圖軟體 Blender 所製作的黏土動畫《Kintekuy》。

The visual effects disseminated by films and television works greatly affect the public's attention to these works at first glance. In traditional stop-motion animation, clay animation is unique because of its texture and visual appearance. With the fast development of science and technology, aided by 3D computer graphics software, animations can now produce realistic effects, and there is an abundance of movies on the market with stunning special effects, these visually stunning experiences have already captivated the audience. But take the well-known British Aardman Animations as an example, They still insist on using the traditional frame-by-frame shooting method to produce clay animation. This indicates that traditional clay animation still holds its market value. Nevertheless, the production process of traditional clay animation is complicated, and without sufficient funds and manpower, it becomes challenging for independent animation studios to sustain themselves with this animation style. Therefore, the research aim of this study is to explore how to create 3D animation with a clay texture using computer software. The results of this research include: studying how the 3D computer graphics software Blender utilizes model construction, shader settings, texture maps, modifier settings, lighting and shadows, and animation action curves to create 3D character animations with a clay texture. In practical application, a clay animation titled "Kintekuy" was created using the 3D computer graphics software Blender.
