The creator currently holds the position of Chief Counselor in the Headquarter company of 10th Field Army. They have observed changes in the military's culture in recent years and the flourishing development of social media. In comparison to the past, the military has been actively promoting a more business-oriented approach to management. The primary goal is for the military to adopt practices similar to those of civilian enterprises, aiming for greater efficiency in areas such as planning, organization, personnel management, leadership, and control. In addition to the need for effective enforcement of these policies, building a positive image is also critical to gaining public recognition and the resilience of internal team morale. The specific objectives of this creation are as follows: 1. Through literature exploration, the goal is to understand the methods of constructing a visual identification system. This involves analyzing and summarizing design principles that the army can employ for future design reference. 2. By conducting interviews with designers from the Army Command Headquarters and analyzing the current visual situation of the Army Command Headquarters, the aim is to comprehend the core values and operational status of the army. This understanding will serve as the foundation for subsequent integration projects. 3. To construct a handbook for the Army's visual identification system, achieving visual consistency. The ultimate purpose is to establish visual uniformity, thereby providing concrete standards for various applications that follow. This creation targets the Army Command Headquarters and focuses on the creation of a visual identification system. Through a literature review of case studies on visual identification system construction, and by utilizing methods such as field surveys and individual interviews, the current visual situation and practices of the Army Command Headquarters are collected and organized. Following this, brand thinking is introduced, and the overall image's visual identification system is established. The survey results revealed several issues within the basic system. The badges and emblems were not marked using logo drafting methods, and the color specifications were also lacking clear defined color codes. The application system had inconsistent styles, patterns, and size specifications, leading to diverse promotional messages that lacked visual coherence for both internal personnel and the public. Interviews further revealed that the army's current procedures are often guided by the experiences of individuals handling tasks, with no clear procedures or approval standards for reference. This creation addresses the aforementioned aspects by optimizing and standardizing the basic system based on the collected results. The application system design is informed by the current situation, and a preliminary handbook for the Army Command Headquarters' visual identification system is constructed. From June 9th to June 30th in the year 112 (2023), an exhibition is conducted on the first floor of the National Taichung University of Science and Technology's Business Building. Questionnaires are distributed on-site to the general public for evaluation. Based on the questionnaire results gathered by June 30th, revisions are made to align various applications with the established "Image Guidelines" and "Functional Guidelines" standards. By constructing the Army's visual identification system, the aim is to enhance the visual image of the Army Command Headquarters and provide a reference foundation for the visual designs of various units in future reorganizations. Through the establishment of a visual identification system, the abstract core values can be made tangible, acting as a bridge for achieving self-identification purposes within the organization. Externally, this system contributes to effective communication of the national defense and recruitment policies to the public.
