As the global industries started to disperse the process of manufacturing to other countries. In recent years, many scholars mainly explored the Global Value Chain positions, but rarely measure the GVC positions of one country and major export countries. Using data of World Input and Output and GVC Indicators of UIBE to measure the electric technological related industries' GVC positions of Taiwan, The U.S., and China, and analyzes the factors affecting the difference of GVC positions via structural decomposition method (SDA) by Feng (2020). The result shows that the electronic technological related industries of Taiwan and The U.S. are in the upstream and downstream industries. However, Taiwan's GVC positions are unstable and usually affect by GVC positions differences in domestic industries and the intermediate goods input from foreign countries. Thus, improving the GVC positions of Taiwan's other electronic technological-related industries which have a forward linkage effect is needed.
