身體活動計劃和高蛋白增補劑改善臺灣農村老年人身體組成、上下肢肌力之研究

摘要


本研究的目的是了解身體活動計畫和蛋白質補充劑對農村老年男性身體組成和上下肢肌肉力量的影響,透過科技與管理的元素,能夠更有效地推廣和管理相關干預措施。在這項研究中,使用了數位化的方式進行參與者的隨機分配、資料收集、分析和管理,以提高研究的效率和精度。研究人員採用身體成分分析儀器、手持式力量測量儀器和運動計時器等科技工具,以獲得準確的測量結果。招募了60名農村地區健康的老年男性,並隨機分配到實驗組A(身體活動計畫和蛋白質補充劑的干預)、實驗組B(日常生活作息,僅有蛋白質補充劑的干預)或控制組C(日常生活作息)。實驗組A每週進行3次身體活動計畫,運動強度與熱量消耗250大卡(5METs×⅔hr× 75),持續3個月,每次運動完畢飲用高蛋白質補充劑(1.3 g/kg BW/天),實驗組B僅有高蛋白質補充劑干預。所有參與者都接受了身體組成、腰臀圍、握力、30秒慣用手臂捲曲、30秒坐姿起立(次)、2分鐘抬膝原地走等前測與後測。研究結果顯示,實驗組A的身體質量指數(BMI)、身體脂肪質量(BFM)、身體脂肪百分比(BFP)、腰圍、臀圍和腰臀圍比率顯著下降,增加基礎代謝率和肌肉質量。雖然實驗組A與實驗組B都有採用高蛋白增補劑,相較之下實驗組A加入三個月的身體活動計劃干預,更容易增加肌肉質量與肌力,腰臀圍比率從1.015降至0.931,減少8.28%,明顯達到減肥效果。該研究得出結論,維持老年人肌力最佳方式,係透過阻力的身體活動和補充蛋白質,這可以降低老年人肌肉流失的問題。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of a physical activity program and protein supplementation on body composition and upper and lower limb muscle strength in elderly men living in rural areas. By incorporating elements of technology and management, it aims to promote and manage relevant intervention measures more effectively. In this study, 60 healthy male older adults in rural areas were recruited and randomly assigned to experimental group A (intervention of physical activity program and high-protein supplementation), experimental group B (daily routine, only the intervention of high-protein supplementation) or control group C (daily routine). Experimental group A carried out physical activity plan 3 times a week, with exercise intensity and calorie consumption of 250 kcal (5METs×⅔hr×75) for 3 months, drinking high-protein supplementation (1.3 g/kg BW/day) after each exercise, experimental group B only the intervention of high-protein supplementation. All participants underwent pre- and post-tests such as body composition, waist-hip circumference (WC, HC), handgrip strength (HS), 30-s dominant arm curl, 30-s sit to stand and 2-min step. The results of the study showed that EGa significantly decreased body mass index (BMI), body fat mass (BFM), body fat percentage (BFP), WC, HC and waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), and increased basal metabolic rate and muscle mass. Although both EGa and EGb use high-protein supplementation, compared with EGa added to three months intervention of physical activity program, it was easier to increase muscle mass and muscle strength. The WHR decreased from 1.015 to 0.931, decrease of 8.28%, and the weight loss effect was obviously achieved. The study concluded that the best way to maintain muscle strength in older adults is through physical activity with resistance and protein supplementation, which can reduce muscle loss in older adults.
