摘要
蒸氣龐克風格是個已有百年歷史的次文化創作風格，也正因為它有著次文化的特性，因此擁有廣泛的定義，但其中心思想還是以冒險、追求烏托邦的世界為主。 本論文將從十八世紀工業革命起開始尋找蒸氣龐克的起源並以此為出發點，找出蒸氣龐克的發展脈絡以及其他的分支風格。並列舉出數個蒸氣龐克風格的創作，以此來了解蒸氣龐克風格有哪些象徵物、創作精神以及組成蒸氣龐克風格的元素。接著筆者利用符號學的理論對上述的蒸氣龐克創作進行分析，並找出它所蘊含的符號與象徵意涵。 筆者利用上述所分析出來的蒸氣龐克元素來創造一個獨立的「世界觀」，在蒸氣龐克的奇幻世界中，除了復古風格之外，魔法與機械是共生共存的，所以筆者便利用這些特性，創造出了一個虛構的世界。接著筆者便在這個架構下創作出球體關節人偶，而探討「擁有靈魂（Anima）的機械人偶」並解釋人們該如何的去面對與機器人共存的未來，則是貫穿整個創作中最重要的部分。

Steampunk is a subculture creating style. It also have variety definition according to its style. But the central idea is all about adventure and pursuing a utopia world. This study will go back to 18 century to look for the origin of steampunk. And by taking this as a starting point, the author can discover the evolution path and branch style of steampunk. The author will also try to find the spirit symbol or element from several steampunk creation. So the author can find the meaning behind the symbol by using the knowledge of semiotics to analyze it. The author uses the element above to create an independent world view. In this fantasy world of steampunk, it’s not just simple steampunk, the author also include the magic element. In this world, magic and machine are complement each other perfectly. Under these circumstances, the author manages to create ball-jointed doll with soul call “Anima”. The main subject of this creation is all about exploring how human to face the future that live with Anima.
