電動牙刷與手動牙刷對於高齡者口腔衛生之影響效果比較

The Comparison between the Powered and Manual Toothbrushes on the Effect of the Oral Hygiene for Elders

摘要


本研究的目的在設計出適合高齡者使用之電動牙刷,並進行「主觀清潔效果比較」、「電動牙刷需求調查」及「電動牙刷與市售牙刷比較」三部份研究。在「主觀清潔效果比較」中,針對83位不同年齡層使用者。ANOVA分析發現50歲以上的中高齡者認為電動牙刷較「容易使用」、「不易握住」且會造成「手腕不適」、「牙齦不適」與「牙齒不適」等困擾;牙齦萎縮與牙菌斑的患者認為電動牙刷會造成牙齦與牙齒不適。在「電動牙刷需求調查」中,以問卷詢問了171位高齡者與45位牙醫師,ANOVA分析發現高齡者偏好較大的刷頭與較細的握把;卡方檢定發現受測者皆認同波浪型刷毛型式、波浪高低的刷毛高度與浮凸波浪型的握把造型。其後的「電動牙刷與市售牙刷比較」測驗了60位受測者,多變量檢定發現研究用電動牙刷的清潔績效較好;單一t檢定發現受測者認為市售手動牙刷的握把過輕、握把過細、握把造型應符合人因且刷毛型式以中央凹陷型為佳,而市售電動牙刷的握把過重、握把過粗且握把造型亦應符合浮凸波浪型。

This study is to design a powered toothbrush which suits the elders. There are three parts including “Subjective comparison of the cleansing efficiency”, “Powered toothbrushes demands” and “The comparison between the research powered and manual toothbrushes”. In the part of “Subjective comparison of the cleansing efficiency”, the ANOVA shows the powered toothbrush are “easier to use”; “uneasy to hold”; ”discomfortable in wrist gums and tooth” than manual toothbrush. The patients who are suffering the gingival atrophy and plaque think that the powered toothbrush would cause discomforted of gingival and tooth. In the part of “Powered toothbrushes demands”, 216 subjects are asked about their opinions between design parameter and design modeling, the ANOVA test appeals that elders prefer larger brush head and thinner handle; and the chi-square test reveals that the subjects all agree with the wavy brush, wavy height and rasied wavy handle. In the “the comparison between new powered and manual toothbrushes”, the MANOVA test shows that the cleansing efficiency of the new powered toothbrush is better than manual toothbrush; one mean t-test revealed that the handle of the marketing manual toothbrush is too light and thin to those subjects. The shape should be tactile wave and the brush tape for central hollow is better. On the other hand, the handle of the powered toothbrush is too heavy and thick, and the shape should be rasied wavey.
