In recent years, the number of households in Taiwan has increased by 1.2 million, but the population does not rise, which is more evident in the metropolitan area. Such a phenomenon is caused by the declining birthrate and population aging, and as a result, more and more people enjoy the company of pet dogs and regard them as family members. In response to changes in lifestyle and social structure, pet dog owners and those who do not like dogs have to find out their own living spaces. Thus this study has sought to examine the satisfaction of pet dog owners in terms of using different spaces. Questionnaires were used to collect responses from owners of pet dogs. Data collection started from March 28, 2018 to April 8, 2018. A total of 500 questionnaires were distributed electronically. The number of valid questionnaires received was 442, and 58 questionnaires were invalid. The recovery rate of effective questionnaires was 88.4%. The empirical results of this study are as follows: (1) the degree of education and occupation, which are categorized as demographic variables, have a significant effect on the satisfaction of space use; (2) The number of times of taking pet dogs for a walk has a significant effect on the satisfaction of space use; and (3) pet attachment has a significant effect on the satisfaction of space use.
