林昭庚院士中醫學術研究與著作之探討
A Discussion on Professor Jaung-Geng Lin's Academic Research and Writing
摘要
林昭庚身兼臺灣中央研究院院士、聯合國教科文組織之專家學者及諮詢顧問、中國醫藥大學講座教授等多項學術職銜，為台灣第一位中醫針灸博士，也是第一位台灣教育部審定的中醫教授，其學術思想往往洞燭先機，為中醫研究領域之重要成果；國內外關於林昭庚相關研究與報導或著作甚多，但似乎沒有針對其學術研究之成果作深入之探討，故本文之研究方法，從林昭庚在傳統醫學領域至今共計五十九本著作，四百餘篇期刊論文的龐大文獻中，探討其在針灸及中西醫結合領域相關研究，如針刺穴位深度研究、針灸止痛臨床療效評估、中西醫病名對照大辭典。我們發現林昭庚在學術研究中，具備開創與獨創性，在前人沒有深入探詢之醫學領域，率先投入研究，影響甚鉅，也將古今中醫學術做連結與闡述，讓後世研究者得以在其研究成果上繼續發揮，尤其在中西醫學結合與針灸醫學等領域，創造了極為重要的里程碑。

Jaung-Geng Lin is an Academician of Taiwan's Academia Sinica, a UNESCO expert, scholar and consultant, and a Chair Professor in China Medical University. Professor Lin was the first to receive a Ph.D in acupuncture and moxibustion in Taiwan, and the first person to be certified as a Professor of Chinese Medicine by Taiwan's Ministry of Education. Professor Lin's academic thoughts about Chinese medicine research often take the lead in this field, which is an important achievement. While many domestic and foreign research projects and reports and other such works have been published about Jaung-Geng Lin, no in-depth research has been carried out on the results of his academic research. This paper therefore covers the immense body of literature - a total of 59 books and more than 400 journal papers - that have been authored by Jaung-Geng Lin in the field of traditional Chinese medicine, and discusses the role of this research in the field of acupuncture and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. The topics cover a wide range of subject areas, including in-depth research on acupuncture points, clinical efficacy evaluations of acupuncture for pain relief, as well as Jaung-Geng Lin's Comparative Dictionary of Chinese and Western Medical Disease Names. Jaung-Geng Lin is a pioneer in Chinese medicine academic research. He was the first to academic effort in research in the field of medicine, which had not been deeply explored up until then. His achievements have been profound, especially in the fields of the integration of Chinese and Western medicine, as well as acupuncture and moxibustion, I think something like this text is more appropriate than what was originally expressed, because a fact like this is concrete and gives the reader something to appreciate.
