The classical guidelines for achieving osseointegration include a long healing time with no functional load. However, patients may experience inconvenience in terms of function, esthetic, psychological and social activity during the healing period, especially in patients with fully edentulous arches. Therefore, current researches have been focused on how to restore patient’s function and esthetics as early as possible after implant placement. Recent studies demonstrated immediately loaded implant prostheses in completely edentulous patients with high success rate comparable to conventionally treatment protocols. The purpose of this paper is to report a case of loading four ITI implants with a mandibular overdenture 6 days after their insertion. The clinical procedures, surgical and prosthodontic considerations are also discussed.
