Fusion may occur between two normal teeth or be-tween normal tooth and a supernumerary tooth. In clinic, the differertiation of fusion from germination is not always ossible, but may be evident from radiographic examina-tion.As a rule, both fused and germinated teeth are ex-tremely unesthetic in appearance and may interfere with normal occlusal development. The presentation is a case of fused permanent lateral incisors where orthodontic therapy was performed. Therapy involved management of removing seg-ment of fused complex. The patient was pleased with his esthetic mprovement. This type of solution is more desirable than extraction and prosthetic replacement.
