為以科學之角度評估天然植物萃取物在殺菌、毒性與環保之特性,以便應用為具抗菌能力之清潔劑,本研究以殺(抑)菌試驗、毒性試驗與環境荷爾蒙(APEO)殘量評估進行本研究,並與商業化産品就殺菌之特性進行評比。研究結果顯示,此植物萃出物對受測之六種主要水媒與食品腐生菌抗菌效果極佳,僅需添加100ppm即對大腸桿菌達100%抗菌效果,典型添加量1%,則可完全去除食品致病菌-金黃色葡萄球菌,同時此萃出物對金黃色葡萄球菌與大腸桿菌之殺菌能力並不遜於任何商業化之抗菌清潔劑。而此萃出物之LD50毒性相較目前大部分清潔劑安全,依據毒性等級,此物質屬「幾乎無毒性」物質。而在APEO鑑識方面,根據目前APEO之認定,本物質含有APEO之疑慮,因此,不適合申請環保標章,但推薦可做為天然抗菌之清潔劑使用。
This research addresses the characteristics of extraction from natural plant. Considerations are made of antibacterial activity, toxicity, and environmental protection. ”Extract Cleanser” has been evaluated of various antibacterial activities in comparison with commercial products. Analysis shows that ”Extract Cleanser” possesses high antibacterial activity against the six tested pathogens. ”Extract Cleanser” in 100 ppm could completely inhibit the activity of Escherichia coli, and 1% of plant extract was for Staphylococcus aureus. Also, ”Extract Cleanser” was more efficient in the antibacterial activities than commercial antibacterial agents. Moreover, ”Extract Cleanser” was safe to organisms as the result of toxicity evaluation identified by LD50. Nevertheless, the Environmental Hormone test indicate that the extraction may contain low concentration of alkylphenol polyethoxylate (APEO), one class of environmental contaminants associated with the degradation of the nonionic alkylphenol polyethoxylate surfactants, which a major impediment for the future environmental licensed application.
