摘要

腰椎手術失敗症候群(Failed Back Surgery syndrome)泛指任何形式的腰椎手術後，腰部或下肢仍有持續的慢性疼痛，發生率高達百分之四十，而且因為西醫沒有特定有效的治療，病人常會轉而求助於中醫。他們的臨床表現及治療方式和一般的骨贅增生、椎間盤突出、或是坐骨神經痛有些不同，因為病患經過手術，正氣已大為耗損，而且還會有瘢痕增生及腰椎不穩等等情況產生，在用藥或施行傷科手法推拿治療時需特別注意。

Failed Back Surgery syndrome (FBSS) is a term that means persistent chronic low back pain and/or lower extremity pain after any type of lumbar surgery. Incidence of FBSS is up to 40%. Because there is no specific and effective therapeutic method in modern medicine, patients with FBSS usually go to see the doctors of Chinese medicine. However, the manifestations of patients with FBSS are kind of different from patients with osteocyte, HIVD and sciatica, because their right qi have been damaged after operation. In addition, because of scar tissue formation and lumbar instability, we should pay more attention in drug using, massage and manipulation.
