Osteoma of the paransal sinuses, although uncommon, is not a rare disease. It is still a fascinating challenge to ENT doctors. It is virtually the most common benign tumor of the nose and paranasal sinuses, especially involving most frequently the frontal sinus. The incidence of osteoma involving the paranasal sinuses is reported from 0.43% to 1.0% in range; however, the true incidence in general population is difficult to be determined because the majority of cases are asymptomatic and therefore undiscovered. The disease is more common in males than in females, and most frequently occurs in the 2nd , 3rd and 4th decades of life. The clinical manifestation of osteoma of the paranasal sinuses covers a wide spectrum, probably due to the slow growth, and varies according to the site, size, rate of growth and direction of extension of the tumor. We reported herein 4 cases which represented 4 distinctive clinical manifestations: frontal headache, chronic parnasal sinusitis, orbital complication and CNS complication respectively. The papers were reviewed and the origin, clinical manifestations and treatment were discussed.
