摘要

本研究以頸外切開做屍體解剖，並測量記錄莖突的長度、形狀、深度等形態上變異。發現國人莖突的長度右側平均為2.73 cm，左側平均為2.56 cm。形狀則以內彎較多 (8/16)，其次為直線形 (5/16)，再次為尖端外彎 (3/16)。側面觀可發現莖突以91.5度的交角由眼眶耳道連線往下方延伸。莖突舌骨韌帶皆無骨化及鈣化現象。由於莖突解剖上深埋於顱底及下頷骨間，四周有重要的神經與血管，大體解剖的研究有助於瞭解莖突在國人的變異情形，及選擇治療莖突異常之手術方法。

Sixteen complete cadaver dissections for the styloid processes were performed via external cervical approach. The morphological characteristics of the styloid process (including length, shape, depth, and angulation) were measured. We found the following: 1.The average length of the right side was 2.73cm, the left side was 2.56cm. 2.The most commom shape of the styloid process was incurved (8/16), then followed by straight (5/16), and outcurved (3/16). 3.An average angulation of 91.5 to the orbito-meatal line in the lateral profile. 4.No calcification of stylo-hyoid ligament excluding one side without clear identification due to severe destruction. Since the styloid process is deeply located and has close anatomical relation with the surrounding vessels, nerves and ligaments, the cadaveric study can clarify some morphological variation in Chinese and aid in selection of better surgical approach.
