Clinical Efficacy of Ofloxacin Otic Solution in Chronic Otitis Media
Ofloxacin耳滴劑對慢性中耳炎之臨床療效
摘要
對於無法或不適於手術治療的慢性中耳炎病人，局部滴用耳滴劑是必須的。慢性中耳炎病原菌主要是金黃葡萄球菌和綠膿桿菌等。因此耳滴劑必須含有對此等細菌有效的抗生素。目前市面上的耳滴劑通常均具有耳毒性，可能會造成感音神經性聽力障礙。新開發的Ofloxacin耳滴劑，已證實對中耳炎的病原菌非常有效，且不具耳毒性。為評估Ofloxacin耳滴劑之臨床療效，收集19名慢性中耳炎病人，給予Ofloxacin耳滴劑，每次3-5滴，每天2次，共14天。結果顯示Ofloxacin耳滴劑之有效度為78.9%。

Ofloxacin was fundamentally studied for the clinical usefulness as otic solution. To evaluate the clinical effect and safety, there were 19 cases of chronic otitis media treated with topical application of Ofloxacin otic solution. Duration of administration of drugs was 14 days. The clinical effect of Ofloxacin otic solution against Staphylococcus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa was high. The efficacy rate of Ofloxacin otic solution was as high as 78.9%. The “very usueful” rate was 42.1%.
