Lipoma is a slow-growing, benign tumor of the fatty tissue that is commonly found in the subcutaneous tissue of the trunk, but rarely in the oral cavity. In the previously reported cases, the sizes of oral cavity lipomas were usually less than 2 cm nad rarely larger than 5 cm. In recent two years, we encountered two cases of large oral cavity lipoma. One was at the mouth floor, the other at the left bucca. Both patients received surgical treatments. There have been no recurrence till now. In this report, we discuss the symptoms of large oral lipomas and the indications of surgical intervention for these particular cases.
