朱自清〈背影〉與徐鍾珮〈父親〉的風格析論
Analysis on the Writing Styles of Watching My Father Walk Awa by Ziqing ZHU and Father by Chung-pei HSU
摘要
在家庭中，父親和母親是對子女最無私奉獻的至親，所謂「天下父母心」正是強調父母之愛無差別的偉大。同樣是愛，描寫父親的文章卻普遍較少且難度較高，因為父親的情感通常是嚴在面、愛在心，與母親直暖而強烈的風格迥異。而朱自清的〈背影〉與徐鍾珮的〈父親〉，卻能以共同的細膩與不同的刻劃，將父親深沉厚實的愛展現淋漓，並獲得社會各界的共鳴與迴響。因此這兩部撰寫父親的作品，究竟有什麼異同？正是本文要深入探討的地方。所謂「文如其人」，因此瞭解作者的成長背景，便是首要的基礎功夫～一位是少年早成的朱自清，一名是沉潛晚熟的徐鍾珮，是如何相異的成長背景與養成教育，讓兩人擁有相同觀察入微、體會深刻、手法細膩的作家特質。進而再就兩篇文章的文辭、作法與意境做深入的剖析～〈背影〉的文字繁縟而直率，以寫實記述的手法呈現清楚生動的影像情感；〈父親〉的文字簡約而婉曲，在敘事或寫景時，總是事中有意、景中有情，其作法以「表現」為主軸。同一作家的作品，有其多樣性，也有其一致性。而朱自清、徐鍾珮雖非具備多樣性的「大家」，亦屬有專長而自成一家的「名家」，能夠就其所長力學不倦、精益求精。無論是以兒子或女兒的身份來描寫，皆能讓讀者感受到父親「愛到深處無怨尤」的情感。

Parents' love towards children is the most unselfish love in the world. The phrase, ”parent's love” implies the great love is equal between the father and fother. However, there are fewer articles describing a father's love than a mother's, because a father does not usually reveal the love in front of his children. A mother's love, on the other hand, is usually strong and direct. In the article Watching My Father Walk Away by Ziqing ZHU and Father by Chung-pei HSU, the authors described a father's affection in different ways, and impressed the readers with a father's deep and true love. My study is to compare and contrast these two articles about a father's love.People say, ”Like author, like book.” Learning the background of the author is the first thing to do before researching his/her article. Ziqing ZHU gained his fame at an early age, and Chung-pei HSU was a late bloomer. Why do these two authors with very different backgrounds have the same meticulous observation on a father's affection? In Watching My Father Walk Away, the phrases are complicated but direct, and the story was described in the realistic technique. In Father, the phrases are simple but indirect while the author was trying to express the facts and the situations.Some authors' works could be very diverse and some could be more consistent. Although Ziqing ZHU and Chung-pei HSU are not universally known, they are well-known in their specific area and they drilled in their field. Whether it is from a son's point of view or a daughter's perspective, readers can certainly feel the deepest love from a father.
