Abstracts

To find the best strategy for competitive football games, the video records of 32 games played by 16 national teams in the IOC Olympic Games in Beijing were carefully analyzed. Especially, the every situation of shots on goal were recorded and analyzed. The statistically crucial factors that affect the successful shots on goal were various areas in front of gate, time course in game, foot or head, field players and the traps. The major successful shots on goal were the bilateral sides of B area. Most successful shots were performed by spearhead. The short pass exhibited greater successful shot especially, the wall pass/one-two and through pass were the most. The place kicks were the most important opportunities for successful shot.
