Extraction of mandibular third molar is a common surgical procedure in dental clinic. But complications, including swelling, bleeding, temporary or permanent nerve damage may be happened. Tooth displacement into pterygomandibular space, although rare, may produce more severe tissue damage and even lead to medicolegal disputes. Therefore, dentists must manage very carefully. We report three cases of mandibular third molar displacement, and provide the management for removal of third molar displaced into the tissue space, technique, and comparison.
