Recurrent Supernumerary Tooth after Surgical Removal-A Case Report

摘要

During a routine dental checkup, a 6-year-old boy's radiograph revealed 2 supernumerary teeth at the right upper jaw. The supernumerary teeth were surgically removed to facilitate the eruption of the right upper central and lateral incisors. At 20 months' follow-up, radiographic evidence suggested a recurrent supernumerary tooth. Thereafter, orthodontic treatment and further surgical removal and were planned. This paper describes the case of a recurrent upper anterior supernumerary tooth, which was not reported in the previous review of the literature.

一位六歲男性兒童因右前牙尚未萌發而進行例行性牙齒檢查。根尖片顯示右前牙有兩多生牙生成，故予以手術移除此二多生牙，以利後續右上門牙以及右上側門牙之正常萌發。然而，在20個月後右上側門牙已萌發但右上門牙仍未萌發。為鑑別診斷右上門牙的發育狀況，本案進行根尖片的追蹤，結果顯示多生牙復發導致右上門牙的萌發再次受到多生牙阻擋。此個案為一多生牙復發之特殊案例，由於目前鮮少有多生牙復發之文獻報告，故將本案病史以及檢查結果做詳細案例報告呈現。
