硬幣在日常交易行爲中佔有相當重要的地位,從早期的單純找零功用到現今已被廣泛使用於自動販賣機以及自動售票系統等系統。我國現行流通的硬幣有六種面額及七種形式(五角、一元、五元、十元、二十元、舊版五十元單色幣及新版五十元雙色幣)。然而,由於設計時缺乏人因和整體的考量,而使其在可辯性上效果欠佳,除了容易產生混淆外,也造成使用者的不便和損失。本研究旨在測量國人之小重量差異閾,並進一步評估各硬幣間之重量可辨性,以提供硬幣系統設計者做爲將來硬幣設計之參考。本研究共有受試者60人(男女各30人),就8種比較刺激(2g、3g、4g、5g、7g、8g、9g、10g)與標準刺激(6g)以定值刺激法測試每位受試者的重量差異閾(DL)及韋伯常數(K)之後再予以評估;結果發現(1)重量差異閾爲1.1729 g;韋伯常數爲0.1955;(2)進一步的評估發現一元及五元,十元及舊版五十元單色幣等組合的重量辨識性較差;(3)此外,就新發行的二十元硬幣加以評估發現,二十元及十元、二十元及舊版五十元單色幣的重量可辨性較差。也因此,本研究建議去除舊版五十元單色幣,並調整五元和二十元之硬幣的重量,以提高相關硬幣系統之可辨性。
The purpose of this study is to investigate the difference threshold of judging weight difference of coins and to evaluate the discriminability of NT coins system. The psychophysical method of constants was used to measure the difference threshold and Weber Fraction of weight of NT coins. A total of 60 college students (30 males, 30 females) were recruited for this study. A standard weight of 6 g and eight comparison weights of 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, 2.2, 2.4, 2.6 and 2.8 g of coins were used in the laboratory experiment. The results showed that (1) The mean difference threshold and Weber Fraction of weight were 1.1729 g and 0.1955, respectively; (2) The NT$1 easily confused with NT$ 50; (3) The new version NT$20 is difficult to discriminate from the NT$10 and previous version NT$50. Overall, the anthors suggests to cancel the previons version of NT$50, and to revise the weights ofNT$5 and NT$20, to enhance the discrimination of difference of NT$ coins System.
