Replacing an extensively decayed tooth with a dental implant has become a popular treatment option. Severe hard and soft tissue atrophy, however, is common in the anterior edentulous region.Prior to implant installation, multiple surgeries are often mandatory in reconstructing deficient alveolar ridge, which result in higher cost and longer treatment period. Patients need to overcome their fear of such treatment modality, and require more recognition as well as cooperation. On the other hand, in suitable scenarios, preservation of the existing root through crown lengthening procedures, followed by conventional crown or bridge fabrication, may be another economical and time-saving treatment option. Conventional crown and bridge has advantages of simple, inexpensiveness, quick repair, and less treatment time. This case report demonstrates a 30-year-old male who suffered from an ill-fitting and unsightly bridge due to prolonged edentulism and deep caries. Surgical crown lengthening procedures, ridge augmentation using a connective tissue graft, and proper prosthetic design contributed to the esthetic and functional treatment outcome.
