In this paper, the author looks up Professor Xu Shengyi ‘s Chinese Ancient Climate Chronicle all-sidedly, with the key words Qinglong(Blue Dragon), Bailong(White Dragon), Heilong(Black Dragon), Huanglong(Yellow Dragon), Chilong(Red Dragon) and Longdou(Dragon Fighting), and 196 records were found. From those records, we can find out that though the ancient people called tornado "dragon" when they recorded those meteorological disasters, they did not regard it as a meteorological phenomenon. The author believes that the dragon is probably combined with the animal element derived from the scaly totem and the meteorological element derived from tornadoes. As for which one is earlier or which one is more important, we cannot tell.
