應用OLAP於台灣地區高中職選手電腦核心能力之研究：以英文打字為例
A Research Applying OLAP to Establish the Computer Core Ability of the Vocational High School Contestants in Taiwan: A Case of English Typing
摘要
本研究旨在了解台灣地區高中職學生電腦基礎能力之發展，以「2006年台灣區全民e化資訊運動會暨國際賽」之國際速記師(Typing Credential)技能大賽英文看打輸入類參賽者為研究對象。使用資料倉儲(Data Warehouse)及線上分析處理(Online Analytical Processing, OLAP)技術，從參賽者問春中了解參賽者背景，作為電腦基礎能力之資料市集(Data Mart)，並結合比賽成績，分析我國高中職學生之電腦基礎能力並提出建議。本研究獲得的初步成果如下： （一）我國高中職參賽者英文打字平均速度每分鐘38.88個字，男生平均速度每分鐘39.99個字，女生平均速度每分鐘37.98個字。 （二）由比賽結果得知，公立高中職之成績較私立高中職優秀。 （三）在英文打字成績每分鐘0~60個字範圍的學生，接受資訊相關課程越多，有助於英文打字成績提升。

The aim of the article attempts to understand the students' computer basic ability of vocational high school in Taiwan. To mix the students' information capability backgrounds and the challenge's grades by using the skills of Data Warehouse and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) to analyze the computer ability of the students in Taiwan and float some suggestion. Finally, we find the results as follow: (1) The average speed of the students' English Typing is 38.88 words per minute, the average correct rate is 96.98%. The average speed of male is 39.99 words per minute, and The average speed of female is 39.99 words per minute. (2) According to the challenge's grade, we can understand that the grade of the public high school is higher than the grade of the private high school. (3) The student whose average speed is from 0 to 60 words per minute studies more information courses will aid their English Typing.
