摘要

Nine hundred and three BCG vaccinated children under two years of age who visited the well-baby clinic in the Chong-Ho Memorial Hospital of Kaohsiung Medical College were tested with 10 TU PPD by Mantoux method from January 1977 to December 1978. The results of this study were analyzed and summarized as follows: 1. The positive reactors of tuberculin were 62.7% with no sex difference, and there was a significant difference (P<0.05) in the incidence of the positive reaction between the infants tested within 1 year after vaccination (63.9%) and the infants tested 1 year after vaccination (44.8%). 2. There was a significant difference (P<0.01) and a high percentage of positive reaction (69%) of the infants vaccinated at 4 or more months of age among those who had received BCG vaccination from birth to 6 months of age previously. 3. Eight hundred and forty-five children were tested within 1 year after vaccination and 434 of them had received BCG vaccination within one month after birth. Both of them had the same lowest percentage of positive reaction on the second month (40.28%; 32.26%) and had the highest on the fourth (71.52%) and fifth (72.06%) month respectively, and then declined monthly and unevenly. 4. One hundred and twenty-nine and 31 children were of individual tested twice and three times respectively at intervals of 6-12 weeks were present in this series. The former had a significant difference (X^2=12.592, P<0.01; t=5.257, P<0.01) on conversion of positive reaction in number and increased diameter of reaction. However, the latter had high significant difference (F=7.895, P<0.01) in increasing diameter of reaction but no significant difference (Q=5.182, P>0.05) on conversion of positive reaction in number.
