Takayasu's arteritis is a disease of unknown etiology. Young females between the age 20 and 30 years are commonly affected, It is characterized by inflammation of the aorta and the proximal portion of its branches resulting in segmental constriction or saccular aneurysm of the arteries, Reduction of the amplitude or abscence of the peripheral pulses is the classical physical finding. A 12-year-old boy with typical clinical manifestations of Takayasu's arthritis is reported He had palpitation for 3-4 years and hypertension for 6 months Physical examination revealed that the pulses of the upper extremities were weaker than those of the lower extremities. A grade Ⅲ/Ⅵ systolic murmur was heard over the second intercostal space with transmission to the neck, Angiocardiography demonstrated irregularity of the descending aorta and narrowing of the proximal portions of right, left renal and superior mesenteric arteries.
