中國醫藥學院附設醫院小兒科自民國68年9月至民國73年6月間,因紅血球G-6-PD缺乏造成急性溶血性貧血而住院的病人共有23例,男孩佔絕大部份,有22例(95.7%)。23例病人中,12例與攝食蠶豆有關,11例與感染或藥物有關。與攝食蠶豆有關者,其溶血較嚴重。17例中有9例(52.9%)具有客家人血統。周邊血液抹片中出現「eccentrocytes」者,在12例中有7例(58.3%)被觀察到。對一急性溶血性貧血病人,如果在其周邊血液抹片中出現大量「eccentrocytes」者,應考應G-6-PD缺乏症之可能性。
During a period from September 1980 to June 1984, 23 children with acute hemolytic anemia related to G-6-PD deficiency were admitted to the Department of Pediatrics, China Medical College Hospital. The vast majority (22/23) were boys. Twelve of the 23 cases were favism Infection or oxidant drugs were implicated in 11 instances. Those children with favism tended to have more severe degree of hemolysis. Nine of 17 (52.9%) were Hakka group. Eccentrocytes were found on the peipheral blood smears in seven of 12 subjects (58.3%). G-6-PD deficiency could be considered if eccentrocytes appeared on the peripheral blood smears of a patient with acute hemolytic anemia.
