In this article, the author established a new dextral species of camaenid land snail, Satsuma paradoxasp. nov.ineasternTaiwan. This medium size, semi-arboreal and herbivorous snail inhabits in a narrow patch of the low-landmountain-area at the coastal mountain ridge of east Taiwan. The new species is highly similar to another known congenera species, S. lituson theappearance morphology of shells. The two species can be distinguishedfrom body size and anatomical traits.
