Comparative Study of Succinate Dehydrogenase Localization on Fibers of the Musculus Extensor Carpi Radialis among Four Kinds of Ducks

以琥珀酸去氫酶定位四種鴨子橈側腕伸肌肌纖維之比較研究

摘要


本研究旨在定位正番鴨(Cairina moschata)、北京鴨(Anas platyrhynchos f. domestica)、改鴨(Anas platyrhynchos var domestica)、綠頭野鴨(Anas platyrhynchos)等四種鴨隻之橈側腕伸肌中琥珀酸去氫酶之活性及分類與分析其肌纖維之形態學。結果顯示四種鴨隻之橈側腕伸肌皆含有不同比例之Type Ⅰ紅肌、Type ⅡA白肌及Type ⅡB白肌纖維。正番鴨、北京鴨、改鴨、綠頭野鴨等四種鴨隻橈側腕伸肌之肌纖維組成比例,其紅肌依序為2.88%、3.97%、13.1%、8.64%; Type ⅡA白肌為32.41%、39.89%、55.95%、60.49%; Type ⅡB白肌64.70%、57.14%、30.95%、30.86%。至於肌纖維直徑(μm),紅肌依序為40.83±3.45、37.08±3.68、41.25±3.06、41.25±6.77; Type ⅡA白肌依序為55.83±6.06、60.42±3.68、57.50±5.24、57.92±4.85; Type ⅡB為94.17±6.65、85.83±6.83、87.08±5.79、90.42±6.21。紅肌直徑皆顯著比白肌小(P<0.05)。至於肌纖維橫切面面積(μm^2)紅肌依序為1317.18±222.33、1088.92±217.48、1342.54±200.86、1350.72±303.35; Type ⅡA白肌則依序為2472.37±522.61、2875.70±346.37、2614.72±474.08、2649.9±449.44; Type ⅡB白肌依序為6993.32±1000.3、5816.86±911.19、5978.03±797.72、6445.99±878.53。紅肌肌纖維之橫切面面積皆比白肌肌纖維小,有顯著性差異(P<0.05)。改鴨及綠頭野鴨之橈側腕伸肌組成的紅肌肌纖維比例高,以其氧化方式提供能量具有較強之飛行能力。

This study localizes Succinate Dehydrogenase (SDHase) in fibers of musculus extensor carpi radialis and conducts morphometric comparative study of fibrous cross section among Muscovy duck (Cairina moschata), Peijing duck (Anas platyrhynchos f. domestica), Kaiya duck (Anas platyrhynchos var domestica) and Mallard duck (Anas platyrhynchos). Results show that these four kinds of ducks contain different ratios of Type Ⅰ (red muscle), Type ⅡA (white muscle) and Type ⅡB (white muscle) muscle fibers. The composition ratios of Type Ⅰ red fiber among muscles are 2.88%, 3.97%, 13.1% and 8.64% respectively in Muscovy duck, Peijing duck, Kaiya duck and Mallard duck; the ratios of Type ⅡA white muscle fiber are 32.41%, 39.89%, 55.95% and 60.49% respectively; but the ratios of Type ⅡB white muscle fiber are 64.70%, 57.14%, 30.95% and 30.95% respectively. As to the diameters(μm) of muscle fibers, the result shows that they are 40.83±3.45, 37.08±3.68, 41.25±3.06, and 41.25±6.77 respectively in red fiber; 55.83±6.06, 60.42±3.68, 57.50±5.24 and 57.92 m±4.85 respectively in Type ⅡA white muscle fiber; and 94.17±6.65, 85.83±6.83, 87.08±5.79 and 90.42±6.21 respectively in Type ⅡB. The diameter of red muscle fiber is significantly shorter than white muscle (P<0.05). As to the cross section areas (μm^2) of muscle fibers, they are, in turn, 1317.18±222.33, 1088.92±217.48, 1342.54±200.86, and 1350.72±303.35 in red fiber; 2472.37±522.61, 2875.70±346.37, 2614.72±474.08 and 2649.9±449.44 in Type ⅡA white muscle fiber; and 6993.32±1000.3, 5816.86±911.19, 5978.03±797.72 and 6445.99±878.53 in Type ⅡB. The cross section area of red muscle fibers is significantly smaller than white muscle (P<0.05). There are high proportions of Type Ⅰ red muscle in the Kaiya and Mallard ducks, which can prolong the flight time by offering energy in continuous aerobic contion.
