台灣梅雨顯著年大範圍之衛星雲量演變

The Evolution of Large-Scale Satellite Clouds during Active Mei-Yu Years in Taiwan

摘要


本文利用1975年5月15日~6月16日NOAA-4及1977年5月15日~6月16日NOAA-5在40°S-40°N,40°E-180°E區域內之觀測雲量與深對流/積雨雲量,分析此兩年台灣梅雨顯著期間之梅雨鋒面系統與熱帶/副熱帶大尺度環流系統間之關連。結果除顯現梅雨鋒面雲帶及南北半球ITCZ雲帶之準滯性帶狀結構外,亦顯示其年間差異及梅雨前後期差異。梅雨鋒面系統之生成與印度洋西南季風及太平洋東北信風(或ITCZ)之增強有密切關連,而梅雨鋒面系統生命各階段演變似與雲帶外之對流無涉。華南與東海之梅雨鋒面生成與行星尺度環流(太平洋高壓脊、ITCZ與西南季風)之增強關係密切,但日本地區之生成與加強,僅與太平洋高壓脊之增強有關,似與西南季風強度無涉。此外,亦發現在華南鋒面雲帶之成長與太平洋高壓脊及西南季風增強之關係密切。

Satellite clouds were analyzed over the area of 40°S-40°N, 40°E-180°E for the active Mei-Yu years of 1915 (May 15-June 16; NOAA-4) and 1977 (May 15-June 16; NOAA-5). Both the total cloud amounts and deep convective cloud amounts (Cb) were analyzed to reveal the interrelationship of the Mei-Yu frontal systems and the large-scale circulations in the tropical/subtropical region.Besides showing the quasi-stationary band structure of the clouds in the Mei-Yu frontal system and ITCZs, results also indicated an obvious annual and seasonal variabilities in the large-scale organized cloud system. It was found that the formation of the Mei-Yu frontal system is closely related to the intensification of the large-scale circulations including the Indian SW monsoon and the NE trade in the Pacific (or ITCZ). The evolution of the Mei-Yu front seemed to be unrelated to the convective activities outside the Mei-Yu frontal cloud system.Results also showed that the formation of the Mei-Yu front over southern China and the East China Sea area is closely related to the intensification of the Pacific ridge, ITCZ and SW monsoon. However, the formation and intensification of the front over Japan area is only related to the Pacific ridge and ITCZ not the SW monsoon. Finally, the Mei-Yu frontal cloud activities over southern China were found to be closely related to the intensity of the Pacific ridge and the SW monsoon.
