高科技工廠及科學園區廢水之致突變性分析

Mutagenesis Test of Wastewater from High-tech Industry and Science-based Industry Park

摘要


本研究利用Hexane萃取出科學園區生技、光電、半導體工廠廢水與科學園區廢水處理廠綜合進、出流廢水中之有機物,再透過安姆氏試驗(Amestest),進行有機萃取物的致突變性研究。TA98實驗結果顯示,無論是否加入S9(老鼠肝臟微粒活化酵素),生技、光電、半導體工廠廢水基本上並不產生架構位移之段突變效應。TA100實驗則顯示此㆔工廠廢水在經酵素活化後,分別展現輕微之基因點突變性,其致突變性之強弱順序依次為半導體工廠>生技工廠>光電工廠,惟致突變效應並未達顯著狀況。另本研究之Microtox(上標 ®)毒性實驗結果顯示,半導體、光電工廠廢水出現微毒~輕毒之效應;但整體而言,此三工廠廢水之急毒性並不顯著。此結果似乎顯示一般對高科技工廠廢水之毒性與致突變性效應或有高估之情形。另科學園區廢水處理廠綜合進流廢水之TA100試驗結果,顯現其點致突變性並不顯著外,明顯地亦較半導體工廠、生技工廠與光電工廠之點致突變性為弱。亦即此三工廠原有之微弱致突變性在經與其他工廠之廢水混合稀釋後而降低。此外,本研究亦進行傳統工業區廢水處理廠進流水與放流水之致突變性試驗,實驗顯示傳統工業區之綜合廢水,其致突變性較之以高科技產業為主體之科學園區綜合廢水致突變性為低,顯然地高科技產業確應對其廢水之可能毒性效應有較高之關注。此外,科學園區與傳統工業區廢水處理廠之處理程序均未提高或降低廢水之致突變性。

This study investigated the mutagenic effect of wastewater from science-based industrial park (SBIP) by using Ames test. The explored wastewater includes samples from three essential industries in sciencebased industrial park, that is, optoelectronics, semiconductor and biotechnology industries. Besides, the influent and effluent of SBIP wastewater treatment plant were also examined so as to evaluate its toxicity reduction capability. Experimental results revealed that wastewater in optoelectronics, semiconductor and biotechnology industries exhibited no frame-shift mutagenic effect through experiments of the TA 98 test strain. However, wastewater from these three industries demonstrated slight mutagenic effect of base-pair substitution; the order of mutagenesis is semiconductor>biotechnology>optoelectronics. Moreover, Microtox(superscript ®) test results indicated that optoelectronics an d semiconductor industrial wastewaters showed slight, but not significant, cute toxicity. The influent of SBIP wastewater treatment plant was indicated by TA100 to be less mutagenic on base-pair substitution than wastewater from the above three industries. That is, the original slight mutagenic effect of the three industries was eliminated by dilution. Besides, the mutagenesis of wastewater from traditional industrial park was lower than that of SBIP wastewater, implying much attention should be paid to the high-tech industrial wastewater. The mutagenesis of the effluent from both SBIP and traditional industrial park were indicated to be the same as that of the influents.
